Was around town last week and was starving prior to hitting the hair salon. And walking in the shopping mall alone, is not the bestest idea of all. what more thinking of what to eat..
I saw this newly opened Little Ben Cafe opposite Oldtown Cafe.. Yeah I think it’s just opened as I didn’t see it the last time I went there..
The deco seems pretty cute and colourful. These are bento boxes for takeaway (Rice or noodles)
And looking at their menu, they have quite a variety of drinks and local food to choose from. Sailor Mee must be their signature. It’s actually pan mee / mee hun kueh. They have the original which I presume is in Chicken Broth, Curry and dried.
I opted for the no-brainer Set Lunch (RM9.90 nett) I had choice of Curry Sailor Mee or Beef Brisket Kuey Teow. I chose the first.
All set comes with Lemongrass drink. Lemongrass is like the “IN” thing now, isn’t it? The moment it was served on my table, I could smell it already. So I guess no shortcuts here in making the drink!
Then was the Curry Sailor Mee. The curry was a tad too diluted for me and there was actually more like a bowlful of curry. The noodles were served alongside an aubergine (in which I wished they have cut it so people like me with teeth problems can eat it), Tau Kee, some long beans and a cut of chicken. I guess I still prefer my pan mee dried 😉
(Project 365 Lunch stopped, I don’t even eat lunch everyday!! how… T____T)

Bad Service from Little Ben Cafe, Pavilion. At first, I called them to confirm my bento set order. A girl pick up the call and confirm my order and will deliver by 12pm. But I received a call from them (1 of the staff unable to speak well in English) to check the area to deliver. He don't know where is my office area (which near to Pavilion), he said we can't deliver to you as is not in Pavilion BUT the order form did not restrict any area for delivery. This is not my 1st time order take away bento set with them. Beside that, a lady staff called me 2nd time and telling me that they don't have enough staff and they don't accept my order. What a bad customer service!!! 1st said deliver by 12pm then said don't where is the area and don't want to accept the order!!!!!
