I reckon.
Ever since Sydney, I love love love Thai Food. Cause Thai food is just amazing over there. I found this Thai Restaurant in Kota Damansara (near my ex-office) and they serve amazing thai food. They are called Erawan Classic Thai & Fusion. The spices and mixes are made from scratch, so no short cuts!
I’ve dined in there a couple of times and Robert (owner) is really very nice! I think for a restaurant, not only the food must be nice, but service is important too!! Well go check them out
This is a must have. We usually order it when we’re there. Its called Mieng Kam. Its an appetizer, oh yeah you can see.. Dried shrimps, roasted peanuts, shredded coconut, ginger, shallots, lime and chili are the condiments..
They’re usually wrapped in betel leaves and a sauce which I believe is made from shredded coconut n shrimp paste and some other things. The texture is like pineapple jam.. but it’s sweet and coconuty.. When its wrapped and eaten together, all the flavour blend well together. You don’t exactly get the spiciness from the ginger, the sourness from the lime or the pungent-ness from the dried shrimp. All just complements each other..
Next is the Tom Yum. They have 2 variations of tomyum; clear and thick. The clear is without coconut milk, and thick has some of it. I love both of them. It’s spicy and sweet and sour and has ALOT of prawns in it. They’re not small tiny shrimps but real prawns! Which probably is worth it for the price you pay.. lol
This dish is also one of our favourite, Deep Fried Fish in Sweet & Spicy sauce. U know those thai-branded thai chilli sauce? yeah it’s almost like that but this is not so sweet and starchy..
Some other dishes to recommend are the Green Curry with chicken, Duck Red Curry, Fish Cakes and the Lemongrass drink!!
