Pasta Zanmai, 1 Utama

A couple of weeks ago, we were at 1 Utama for St. Patrick’s festival. As usual, we’d need dinner first before our stout. Well actually we forgot that there were food served during the festival. I’ve always wanted to try Pasta Zanmai instead of Sushi Zanmai. hehe

I’ve always liked creamy soups with a layer of puff pastry on top. It’s like an additional texture to the soup. The chowder was quite strong in garlic, but they were quite generous with portion of seafood.

The set came with rice and pasta. Love the semi cooked egg and unagi rice, mushy and runny yolks with soy.. oh yummy.. I quite like the Japanese sesame sauce lately, with pasta or salad, it’s quite aromatic and earthy.

Mini Chicken Teriyaki no Spicy Pasta to Californian Tortilla Roll – Chicken Teriyaki Spicy Pasta and Californian Tortilla Roll. RM 22

The Californian tortilla roll was quite different as it uses Tortilla Roll instead of sushi rice. Fusion ? yeah. The meal was meant for 1 person but really ? How to eat so much, so we shared everything instead.
