Greetings! I’m Swee San and I’m the owner / baker / creative for The Sweet Spot.
I make these beautiful buttercream flower cakes and conducts classes too. I acquired my French Patisserie diplome from Le Cordon Bleu, Sydney in year 2007 and have been actively baking since then. I then attended and became a Wilton Method Instructor in Malaysia for 2 years around year 2009 which then began my love for teaching baking and cake decorating.
My love for Beposke Buttercream Flower Cakes grew when I saw how beautiful and elegant they are in Korea, hence I decided to learn; (very hard) how to make them. There’s no secret or the dependency on which piping nozzle number, it just takes alot, alot of practice, maybe a bit of talent and a good hand-eye coordination to curate such cakes. Of course, it is also something that I truly love, hence I picked up classes from a Korean teacher on how to make them too.
Apart from making these cakes for birthday parties, events and weddings, I also teach beginners’ level classes on how to make these buttercream flowers. Do check out my latest schedule and join in the fun 🙂
