Well, I can’t really put a recipe to all this as they are whipped really quickly. The photo is a repost from instagram as I usually just take a photo with the phone and call it a day. I have a little confession to make. These days when I decide to cook dinner, I will do so every day in that week, after that I will call it off for 2 weeks or so before being inspired again to cook something new.
I dont know, is there some sort of problem with my attention span or me being inspired doesn’t often last that long. But when I keep doing something (say, looking at foodie sites) for too long (uh, maybe a week), I need a week break. Haha you know what ? this is not going to make any sense.
Let’s get to the recipe.
I’m contemplating if I should put a proper recipe. No. cooking comes from the heart and you just feel what’s right.
Here, I put on a pot of boiling water, throw in some squid in pasta. Then pat dry the salmon, season on both sides.
about 3 minutes down, I heat up the pan, and start pan frying the fish, skin side down. When you start seeing the flesh turning into a brighter pink on one side, flip it over. Although I must say, I leave it there until its almost cooked, then flip onto the other side for 1 min. Scallops ? not necessary. Asparagus ? Throw into the boiling water and whip it out once it turns into this shade of bright green.
Fish’s done, asparagus’s done. For the pasta, I melt some butter on the pan, added garlic and chilli, tossed the pasta in, salt and done.
Crispy skin salmon? so awesome.
I think I’m going to get some tomorrow. 😉
