So, my nieces has asked me to make waffles, because THEY want to make waffles.
To clear things up, these are not my kids, and I am not married. Well I suppose that is not necessary information. Yeah. Let’s get to the waffles.
Well, it’s just waffles. Nothing too special.
I’m not lying, it is just waffles with a dollop of raspberry and redcurrant sherbet on top drizzled with maple syrup.
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
2 egg yolks
100g melted butter
250ml (1 cup) milk
2 egg whites
1. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, egg yolks and milk together in a bowl. Then add in melted butter and mix well.
2. Whisk egg whites till soft peaks then add in sugar. Continue to whisk till about medium peaks. Then add into the egg yolk batter.
3. Fold till incorporated.
4. Preheat the waffle maker, then make waffle!
5. Serve with ice cream and or drizzle with maple syrup. (Ice cream recipe will be up next)
